What I've Been Up To Lately

I've been missing in action on the blog this past couple of months. Ever since the wedding, I've been crazy busy with a lot of new and exciting things.

In addition to my day job in Resource Managment, I've taken on the role of Content Marketing Manager at an awesome start-up in Charlotte called Work For Your Beer. If you've never heard of them before, you should definitely check them out. They're Charlotte's guide to everything beer fitness and it's run by a powerhouse of amazing women that I'm still in awe that I get to be a part of.

As their Content Marketing Manager, I'm managing their editorial calendar, ideating and creating blog content, running giveaways on social media, and touching most things content related. It's an amazing gig and I love it so far. It's definitely kept me busy (I swear I'm not happy unless my schedule is full and I'm working on ten things at once). In addition to Work For You Beer, I've started freelancing for a start-up based out of Raleigh, NC called Offline. They're all about providing instant access to the best events and experiences in Charlotte, NC. They have a great website and app that keeps you in the know about everything you could possibly want to do in your area. It's a really great resource, so you should definitely check them out.

As a freelancer for Offline, I'm finding and creating experiences for their website, in addition to, drafting content for their website and app. This is my first paid freelance gig, so I'm super stoked about that. You can check out my first two pieces for Offline here:

It's crazy to think how far I've come since I've started this writing journey about a year and a half ago. Regardless of the time and work I'm putting in (in addition to my day job, I might add), I wouldn't trade it for the world. I can't wait to see where this adventure will take me next!
