Friday Five: Random Facts About Me

Happy Friday! This is the first of my “Friday Five” series. Here, I’ll share five things. It may be things about me, products, things I like, quotes, or anything else.

This week I’m sharing five random facts about myself. Hope you enjoy!

I love coffee mugs.

I love pretty mugs. Fun mugs. Silly mugs. I love them all. I don’t own a set of matching mugs and sincerely hope I never do. Life is more fun that way.

I’ve had the same chicken-scratch handwriting since I was in Kindergarten.

It’s awful. Like horrible. I always wished I was one of those girls with beautiful cursive and movie star- esque signatures. Nope. Not even close. I honestly can’t even read my own writing half of the time. I’m not proud.

I have a weird and unexplainable obsession with giraffe statues.

Not giraffe print or pictures of giraffes. Like little metal giraffes or 3 foot-tall wooden statues. It all started when I found a metal giraffe in a clearance bin at Barnes and Noble and it never stopped. I can’t explain why. I don’t understand it. But I love them. I have one in my cube at work and a little guy on my desk. You’ve probably seen them on my Instagram.

I’m awful at painting my nails.

If I paint my nails red, it looks like a straight-up murder scene. And as bad I am, I continue to do it anyway. I literally live my life coloring outside the lines.

I must go to sleep in a made bed.

At the end of the day, I cannot get into an unmade bed. I absolutely hate it. I will always, always, always make the bed. Most of the time, it’s the first thing I do (or my fiance does) in the morning. Even if it were 8pm and the bed was unmade, I would have to make it before I tucked myself in for the night. Call me crazy, but that’s just me.
