4 Places That Are Giving Me Serious Wanderlust Right Now

I’ve recently dived head first back into the Pinterest game. I used Pinterest a lot when it first came out in 2010 back when I was in college. (It’s crazy to think it’s been that long ago!) But over the years, I’ve swapped my pinning for scrolling through Instagram. That is until recently.

There’s been a lot of buzz around how Pinterest is a game changer for businesses. So curious to learn more, I took a ‘Pinterest for Business’ SkillPop class with Nicole Saunders. My mind was blown! I learned so much good information and actionable takeaways that I can apply, not only personally, but with Work For Your Beer’s Pinterest, as well.

Anywho, since I’ve been pinning away, I’ve been having a serious case of wanderlust.

Wanderlust: a strong desire to travel.

My family never traveled too far from home when I was a kid, so now the older I get, the more I’m getting the itch to jet set across the globe.

I’ve never been to Europe, and I’m seriously dying to go! I want to sit in a Parisian cafe, and people watch while sipping on a cappuccino. I want to ride a double-decker bus in London. I want to kiss the Blarney stone in Ireland.

I want to do it all.

I have a serious goal to visit Europe next year. I’ve already started saving my pennies and scoping out flights and Airbnbs. But until I book the tickets, a girl can dream, right?

I’m using Pinterest as my source of inspiration to plan these future trips, and there are so many great bits of information you can find, in addition to all of the pretty pictures of course.

Come dream with me.

Paris

I want to eat fancy cheese and drink wine while people-watching on the streets of Paris with the Eiffel Tower in the backdrop. Paris seems like such a romantic and luxurious city, and I’d love nothing more than to live life as a Parisian for a few days.

Here are some travel tips for Paris I stumbled upon on Pinterest:

What could be better than visiting the land of the royals? Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, and add to that a British accent. Yes, please! I’ll start working on my accent now.

Ireland

My husband is Irish and now that I have an Irish last name, I’d love to visit Ireland and learn more about the culture. From what I’ve seen, it looks green and lush and so picturesque. And I’ve heard there’s even a castle (or 30,000) to see.

Savannah, GA

This destination is more at my fingertips than Europe and only a few hours away from Charlotte. Doug and I were supposed to visit Savannah for our one-year anniversary last month, but Hurricane Florence had other plans, so we rescheduled for November. I can’t wait to finally visit one of the most romantic and haunted cities in America and walk through Forsyth Park while admiring the Spanish moss.

We’ll be staying at a cute bed and breakfast and already have plans to take the Old Town Trolley Tour. I’ll be sure to share more about our trip next month!

If you’re looking to plan your own Savannah adventure, here are some great travel guides:
